Lydia Mae is a self-taught illustration artist working from her bricks-and-mortar shop and studio in the charming town of Steyning, West Sussex, UK.

Her artwork is deeply inspired by nature, childhood—particularly her son—books, vintage treasures, music, and loved ones. Lydia creates her original pieces using gouache paints, and all of her printed products are produced in the UK with a strong commitment to sustainability and environmentally conscious practices.

Specialising in greeting cards, prints, and unique gift items, Lydia places great importance on thoughtful, eco-friendly packaging. She avoids unnecessary plastic, instead opting for recycled tissue paper and stickers to wrap her cards and prints. Whenever possible, she also reuses external packaging materials, including any plastic or bubble wrap, which has been repurposed from previous use.
